I would say no it is not as close as you think it is just the way the camera angle is.That is an interesting find in Iron Mines of Muldune mission.

Hehe, yes it is indeed. Greatest movie ever made, and the concept designer Brian Froud is my favourite artist.

It's interesting to see what the differing view has been on this. I thought it looked closer, I was not trying to rumor monger, I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed, because it certainly is a LOT clearer than when GWEN first was released which cannot be denied.

But Age, it's not just the camera angle, because I made sure I took the shots form a number of different angels to give a good view of how close it might be...

I believe there is a Texmod mod that makes the ice clearer.
I haven't used it myself, but I remember scrolling past it.
I'd guess that's were that: http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imagerakkar_body.jpg
came from.

I did not know there's a dragon//turtle thing in drakkar lake O.o so thank you for the screenshots, *goes login*

PS: it must be surfacing as I've never seen anything inside my version of drakkar lake before.

Wow that is huge. Is that the pic of drakkar when it's closer to the surface? Or older pic.

Here's a great thread for you to compare your new screenshots of Drakkar with some old one : http://guildwarsguru.com/forum/showt...hlight=drakkar

I've been there quite a long while ago and to me there wasn't any difference between my exploration and the pics showed here. Sure, it looked like it was rising up on the surface. Hell, I was practically standing on its back, but this is as close to the surface as it's going to get, until GW2 that is. However, there are other signs that suggest that he is still rising as I've experienced these in my last visit. While I was walking around him, I could swear that I heard a low growling noise coming from all around me. Yes, I heard a faint, but very apparent growl, while I was standing on him. Freaky. What's more is when I stand on his head my whole body is engulfed with a white light. It's more cool than freaky, though. Has anyone else noticed the low growling or heavy breathing noises when standing above it?

I don't see it getting closer, it has looked that way to me since I bought the game at release. I am wondering, though, how are we supposed to fight THAT in GW2? And not only that, but THEM. Geez, Anet!

No, it's not. The Dragon at the end of EOtN is hanging upside down in a cavern, not frozen in a lake lol. Not the same dragon.

Would be epic on Anet's part if it was. Looks a little closer, but it may just be the angle.
